Explore my journey from Hollywood VFX studios to UI/UX design mastery — where dimensional thinking meets digital experiences.
UI/UX Case Study
Hi everyone!
You've just completed your UI/UX Design certification from IIIT Bangalore with a perfect CGPA and want to showcase your case studies. But you also have years of 3D modeling work from Hollywood studios and graphic design projects. UX recruiters want process documentation, 3D studios want visual galleries, and clients want to see your full capabilities. Everything feels fragmented and overwhelming to organize. How do you present amalgamation of UI/UX Design skills complimented with 3D Modeling and Graphics Design on one website without confusing visitors, which could be a unique and rare asset for a UI/UX Designer?
That's what inspired me to design and build this portfolio website — a unified experience that brings together UI/UX design, 3D modeling, and graphic design under one roof. In this case study, I'll walk you through how I tackled the challenge, identified key pain points, and designed an information architecture that makes discovering my work intuitive and effortless for every audience.
○ No clear separation between UX process work and 3D/2D Portfolio.
○ Flat structure where all projects competed for attention.
○ Visitors couldn't easily filter by domain (UX vs 3D vs 2D Graphics Designing Projects).
○ Risk of overwhelming users with too many project types on one page.
3D turntable videos: Embed short rotation videos of 3D models (quad bike, excavator, props) in galleries to showcase modeling quality and surface detail more effectively than static renders.
